Community Centre
It was over 100 years ago when Barrow Close was built, and a new community was born. In their wisdom, the architects included a community space, a hub of humanity, contact and friendship. This space no longer exsists on our close. During the pandemic, we have strived to stay connected with our neighbours, to keep each other safe and feeling supported.
The one thing, above all else, that has kept us all going is the hope that we will come together once more. We have valued the virtual community centre, but now is the time to build back better - to rebuild our community space.
The community centre planning committee has finalised designs and funding proposals for this most needed space. Undates will follow this month.
